For the Love of Homemade Kits: April 2020 Kit Reveal

Hey Everybody!

What a difference a single month can make! I was just sitting down to write this post thinking of how differently our world and individual realities looked when I posted the March recipe. Wow! I think that my brain still isn’t fully processing the rapid change of events in my little life bubble. I do know to the depths of my soul, however, that daily creative time is an absolute necessity in our world right now. We all need a little escape from the stress and anxiety of news reports and homeschooling in order to be able to document our stories, remember the vacations, highlights, and moments that bring lots of joy. So….with that being said….I encourage you today more than ever before to dig into your stash and play along with our April stash kit recipe. I need that creative time and sense of community that can be found here in the virtual space with my crafty family and I bet that you do too.

If you are new around here, For the Love of Homemade Kits is a You Tube series that I do with some of my scrappy friends where we create a stash kit each month based upon the same “recipe” of items. Then, throughout the month, we share process videos and layouts using those items. You will always see a new kit reveal on the 1st of the month and then process videos each Monday throughout the month. Each and every month brings a new kit, new recipe, and loads of fun! I love digging into my stash and working with a unique set of supplies. It also helps get my creativity flowing when I limit my supply choices! How about you?

Without further ado, let me share the April 2020 recipe. This recipe is really fun AND printable so that you can print a copy and play along! This would also be a great resource for packing for a retreat or crop if that’s your jam. You can also click on the top left corner where you see the Pinterest icon and save it directly to your board for later!

I also wanted to share a little glimpse into the kit that I built to create with throughout the month of April. As always, I added a few extras and will likely pull a couple of things from my stash throughout the month as well but this is my starting point.

I really felt like I needed a super fun, really bright kit this month! Of course, I threw in some pops of black and white in my customary style but I am really just looking forward to digging in to all of the bright colors in this kit. I think that this kit would be perfect for some Disney vacation photos and lots of summer moments.

This kit is a pretty good representation of my style for fun, family photos and vacation layouts and I am just in love with it! I definitely want to encourage you to create a stash kit to create with this month and to make sure to include things that you really love. That will totally help you to get your creativity flowing during these difficult times. You can also click down below to check out the You Tube video reveal for this kit to get all the specifics on my kit….
