Quick & Easy Pumpkin Shaker Tutorial
Hi Friends!
I am know in my house as the “activities director” as I tend to be the one who plans vacations, experiences, and crazy family fun. I have been known to take my kids on the Amazing Race, get them white water rafting, and create detailed codes for holiday scavenger hunts. Well….something that we do sometimes is a surprise vacation and if you have never done this, I highly recommend it! Basically, we convince the kids that we aren’t going anywhere or doing anything exciting while secretly planning a little vacation adventure.
A few years ago, we surprised the kids with a trip to Disneyland for their Halloween celebration for Fall Break. I wanted to document this trip in a special way and hadn’t found that “perfect” thing just yet so the photos sat waiting for my attention. Do you ever do that with pictures and memories that are just so precious to you? Well…this fall, Simple Stories released the Say Cheese Halloween collection and I was hooked. I combined the Say Cheese collection with a really fun pre-cut fall pumpkin cut file from the shop and some amazing SpiegelMom Scraps sequins (Orange Orange and Grape Juice). Using a pre-made cut file to create a shaker pocket is super fun and easy. I created a little tutorial to help you create one too! Here’s that video….
Easy, right?!?! Then, I went ahead and used a few accents from the Say Cheese Halloween Collection to finish up the patterned paper layers and embellishing. It was a great way to start out Halloween adventure pages and something just a little different to celebrate our fun!
