Here’s a SUPER quick and easy card that I created today for World Cardmaking Day using these fun cut files. I will be back later this weekend with more using some of the other sizes as well.
I started out with a blank card base and envelope and then cut a black piece of yardstick to 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 to fit on the front panel. I used my Silhouette to cut the card front which I trimmed just a little smaller than the black cardstock base. Next, I cut a white piece of cardstock to fit the exact same size as the cut file panel I wanted to use.
I grabbed my Distress Oxide inks and a blender tool (the new ones from Scrapbook.com are AMAZING and don’t leave any edge marks at all. You can find those by clicking here) I just created a diagonal rainbow effect on the white cardstock and it was SO SUPER quick and easy. I backed the word “hi” in the cut file with black cardstock to help it really pop on that rainbow background.
FInally, I added dimensional adhesive dots to the backside of the cut file itself in order to create some extra dimension. I really love how that panel looks completed popped up off the background and it makes for a very striking card that I was able to create in seriously less than ten minutes!
I hope that you enjoyed this quick and easy card for World Card Making Day and I would love to see what you create with these amazing cut files. Make sure to grab yours today before they aren’t free to download anymore!
xoxo,
Khristina
